Corvette Cave

This garage was designed for Patrick and Rhonda Rommel, who are Corvette enthusiasts.  By going with a monochromatic scheme using shades of charcoal gray for the walls, ceiling, cabinetry, and appliances this creates  a space where their red Corvette can really shine.  Pops of red include stacks of red automotive books for the counter, red beverage + snack accessories at the “refueling station” and red storage bin reveals when cabinets and drawers are opened.  The generous countertop space allows for the couple to have separate “his and hers workstations.”  This space has been transformed into a place not only for tinkering, but also for entertaining.  We’ve incorporated a flat screen t.v., two beverage coolers, and accessories such as die cast cars to keep their grandchildren busy.  A custom panel hides the hot water heater and we chose a graphite finish on the washer + dryer to blend in with the walls.
