Mechanic’s Vintage Workshop

The Garcia Family with show host Chris Jacobs

The concept for Ricardo Garcia’s garage is centered on his love of automotive history.  Cabinets harken back to an era of faux wood paneling as racing stripes in blue and orange encircle the space, creating a vibe of “1960’s + 1970’s Cool.”  Ricardo’s garage is transformed into a museum-like gallery with images of his favorite drivers such as Willie T. Ribbs and James Dean along with automotive brands like Shelby and Chrysler.  A feature wall spotlights female drivers as a way to inspire Ricardo’s young daughter, along with a bright orange child sized workbench.  Surprise elements such as succulents potted in vintage tin cans adorn the counters while a vintage tool collection is artfully displayed in a shadowbox.
